First of all my respect and honor to the president and the other members of Bangladesh Buddhist Society of California.

With reference to the protest we had, on Friday May 20^th 2016, I am writing to thank every single member of BBSC. I am not only a blogger with five years’ experience but also an IT. In addition, the most successful two protests that took place in 2012 and 2013 in Bangkok Thailand regarding the Ramu Incident and Buddhagaya booming were under my guidance.

Vesak full-moon poya day was rejoice fully celebrated by Bangladesh American Buddhist Fellowship (Sambodhi Vihar) on Saturday, May 21^st 2016.  On that auspicious day, Buddhist followers from all around California joined the celebration paying homage to the Triple gems and then special offering to Buddha at 10AM. Lay devotees took hold of the Eight Precepts from the monks and served the honorable monks with the Alms-round.

Police yesterday arrested three people in connection with their alleged involvement in the killing of a Buddhist monk in Naikkhangchhari upazila of Bandarban.

The arrestees are Abdur Rahim, 25, Mohammad Zia, 26, and Sa Mong Chak, 35.

During drives, police caught Rahim and Zia at Tadangkhali Para and Titar Para and Sa Mong at Upor Chak Para under Baishari union around 3:30am yesterday, said Abul Khair, officer-in-charge of Naikkhangchhari Police Station.

‘স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী হয় দিব্যজ্ঞানী, নয়তো মাথা খারাপ’

নাইক্ষংছড়ি উপজেলার বাইশারীতে বৌদ্ধ ভিক্ষু হত্যার পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী আসাদুজ্জামান খাঁন কামালের বক্তব্যের তীব্র প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছেন বান্দরবান রাজগুরু কেন্দ্রীয় বৌদ্ধ বিহারের অধ্যক্ষ মহাথের উচহ্লা ভান্তে।

ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করে ধর্মীয় এ গুরু বলেন, ‘স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী কীভাবে বললেন, ভিক্ষু হত্যায় স্বজনরা জড়িত? হয়তো তিনি দিব্যজ্ঞানসম্পন্ন ব্যক্তি, নয়তো স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীর মাথা খারাপ। তিনি এ কথা কেন বললেন স্বজনরা জড়িত? দেশের একজন স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী, তাঁর প্রতিটি কথা সারা বিশ্ব শোনে। তাই আমরা চাই, মুখ ফসকে যেন স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী কোনো কথা না বলেন। আমরা চাই তাঁর প্রতিটি প্রদক্ষেপ হবে লোহার মতো শক্ত। আর প্রতিটি আইনি ব্যবস্থায় বিশ্ববাসী যেন বুঝতে পারে বাংলাদেশে বৌদ্ধ ধর্মাবলম্বীরা শান্তিতে আছে।’

আজ রোববার বিকেলে ভিক্ষু হত্যার প্রতিবাদে জেলা প্রেসক্লাবের সামনে মানববন্ধন কর্মসূচিতে এসব কথা বলেন অধ্যক্ষ মহাথের উচহ্লা ভান্তে। বৌদ্ধ ভিক্ষু পরিষদ এবং বৌদ্ধ ভিক্ষু ইয়ং অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের ব্যানারে এ কর্মসূচি পালিত হয়।

স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীর ‘মুখ ফসকে বেরিয়ে গেছে’

বৌদ্ধ ভিক্ষু হত্যার কয়েকঘন্টার মধ্যেই সাংবাদিকদের স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী বলেছিলেন বৌদ্ধ ভিক্ষু হত্যা বিচ্ছিন্ন ঘটনা এবং এই হত্যার সাথে ভিক্ষুর স্বজনরাই জড়িত। তবে রাতে একটি গণমাধ্যমকে তিনি বলেন স্বজন জড়িত থাকার কথাটি তাঁর মুখ ফসকে বেরিয়ে গেছে। তবে এই ঘটনাকে বিচ্ছিন্ন ঘটনার বাইরে কিছু ভাবতে চান না বলে ফের জানান তিনি। 

শনিবার দুপুরে রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক রেজাউল করিম হত্যাকাণ্ডের প্রতিবাদে ও দোষীদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবিতে আয়োজিত শিক্ষক-ছাত্র-সুধী সমাবেশ শেষে সাংবাদিকদের  বৌদ্ধ ধর্মগুরু হত্যা বিচ্ছিন্ন ঘটনা ও এর সাথে স্বজনরা যুক্ত আছে বলে মন্তব্য করেন।

Bangladesh Home Minister gives clean chit to murders of Buddhist monk.

Bloggers, atheists, free-thinkers, seculars, foreigners, Christian fathers, Hindu priests and Buddhist monks are being systematically targeted and murdered one after another in Bangladesh.

Every time Bangladeshi state-religionists and Islamic State operatives proudly claim the responsibility for these crimes. However, Dhaka dismisses their claims and says all these are "isolated incidents".
